This year's conference theme is "Surveying During an Economic Downturn". We have an excellent program lined up this year�
- Short Course: Professor of Mass Communication Mark D. West, Ph.D. of UNC Asheville will be presenting "Practical Content Analysis for Survey Research". This Short Course has been approved by the Marketing Research Association for 2.75 hours of credit towards the Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) program!! - Keynote Speaker: Dr. Christopher J. Ruhm, Jefferson-Pilot Excellence Professor of Economics at UNC Greensboro, will be joining us after our Thursday evening Social Hour to present new research suggesting that mortality decreases and many aspects of physical health improve when the economy temporarily weakens. The title of the keynote address he will be presenting is �Sick Economies and Healthy Bodies�.
